For their new campaign, Suitsupply’s sister company SUISTUDIO has offered a bold take on femme businesswear: dressing women in their corporate best and male models in their birthday suits.
Titled “Not Dressing Men,” the campaign is flipping gender roles in advertisements on their head, showing us something we’ve been seeing for years, just with the sexes reversed.
“There is nothing wrong with sex, the naked human body, and the inclusion of that in a campaign. Sex is a big part of fashion,” SUISTUDIO USA vice president Kristina Barricelli told Upworthy. “The problem is that in recent history, we haven’t seen a naked man objectified in the background. How strange! Why not?”
